Great opportunity: we are hiring a cement mason in Borough of Wigan, England. The job is on a high-rise slab pour. On a typical shift you will float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing. Requirements: • 2+ years on RCC and concreting works • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage 1+ years on the tools preferred. £2,150 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
