Port container crane operator wanted in City of Roanoke

Immediate opening: we are hiring a port container crane operator in City of Roanoke, Virginia. You will work on a high-rise tower crane. On the job you will handle: • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone • Fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Keep every lift within the safe working load (SWL) Requirements: • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Able to read load charts and lifting plans We offer $3,200 per month plus benefits.
