Requirements: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather The role involves direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear; fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads; set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads.
