Now hiring: we are hiring a furnace operator in Ravalli County, Montana. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand Pay around $2,500 per month, based on your experience.
