Gtaw welder • Valley County, Nebraska

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Valley County, Nebraska. Day-to-day duties: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal Requirements: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Share your details and we will call you back.
