Argon welder — Beaufort County

Now hiring: we are hiring an argon welder in Beaufort County, North Carolina. You will work on an industrial construction site. On the job you will handle: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Pay around $170 per day, based on your experience.
