Join our team: we are hiring a moulder in Monona County, Iowa. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. On the job you will handle: • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
