Now hiring: we are hiring a pastry baker in Nash County, North Carolina. You will work at a neighbourhood confectionery. Day to day you will knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream; keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials. Requirements: • Able to work early-morning and night shifts • Food handler / hygiene certificate • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $15 per hour, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
