Thermal insulation technician • Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, England

Great opportunity: we are hiring a thermal insulation technician in Metropolitan Borough of Wirral, England. You will be based on flat roofs and terraces. On a typical shift you will work to drawings, hitting the specified U-values and insulation thickness; wrap HVAC ducts with foil-faced insulation and fasten with banding; apply liquid waterproofing to bathrooms and terraces before tiling; lag hot and cold water pipes with rockwool sections and aluminium cladding; carry out flood and water tests on waterproofed areas to check for leaks. What we are looking for: • Confident using a gas torch to bond bituminous membrane • Proven experience in thermal insulation and waterproofing 3+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. We offer £2,550 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
