Core maker • Clinton County, New York

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a core maker in Clinton County, New York. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor You will inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. 6+ years on the tools preferred. $4,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
