Now hiring: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Pickens County, Alabama. You will work in a botanical garden. Requirements: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Pesticide spraying certificate (PA1/PA6) an advantage • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish The role involves: • Water beds and lawns and set up drip irrigation lines • Sharpen, clean and oil hand tools and mower blades • Check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads • Mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers • Apply fertiliser, compost and mulch to beds • Maintain compost heaps and the potting shed At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
