Gas metal arc welder • Rockingham County, North Carolina

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Rockingham County, North Carolina. You will bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift.
