Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Archuleta County, Colorado. The job is in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On a typical shift you will prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring); clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) Six days a week, one day off.
