Immediate opening: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Douglas County, South Dakota. You should have: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Day to day you will audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $2,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off.
