We are recruiting: we are hiring a meat trimmer in Newry Mourne and Down, Northern Ireland. You will be based at a busy retail butcher's shop. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers On a typical shift you will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts.
