Vacancy available: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Caldwell County, Missouri. The job is in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal. 2+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $26 per hour, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
