Foundry operative — Lemhi County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry operative in Lemhi County, Idaho. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
