Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Clatsop County, Oregon. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Your main tasks: • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
