We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry worker in City of Newport News, Virginia. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. You should have: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal The role involves: • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring Full-time with occasional weekends.
