Ladle pourer — Sanborn County

Join our team: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Sanborn County, South Dakota. The role involves skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
