Now hiring: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Poweshiek County, Iowa. The job is at a uPVC door and window showroom-cum-workshop. Your main tasks: • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Insert galvanised steel reinforcement into the profile chambers and screw-fix it • Read the cutting list and optimisation sheet and label each profile • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Fit fly screens, sills and trickle vents What we are looking for: • Comfortable handling and lifting glazed units safely • Able to work to deadlines in a busy workshop • 2+ years' experience fabricating uPVC windows and doors Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
