CO2 welder wanted in Coventry

Immediate opening: we are hiring a CO2 welder in Coventry, England. The job is on a structural steel site. Requirements: • Steady hand and good eyesight for tight tolerances • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium On a typical shift you will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
