Horizontal milling machine operator — Bibb County

Now hiring: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Bibb County, Alabama. You should have: • Safety conscious and comfortable wearing PPE around moving machinery • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work On the job you will handle: • Select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors • Keep in-process inspection records and log production counts • Measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter • Apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
