Ironing operator — Hood River County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an ironing operator in Hood River County, Oregon. You will be based at a garment factory. Day to day you will hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; give each garment a final press before packing; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents. Requirements: • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
