Now hiring: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Russell County, Alabama. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height On the job you will handle: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges Rotating shifts.
