Machinist — Shelby County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a machinist in Shelby County, Tennessee. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. On a typical shift you will inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension. Requirements: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
