Fabricator-welder wanted in Sheffield

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Sheffield, England. You will work at a busy production line. Your main tasks: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence Requirements: • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Willing to work shifts and overtime • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer £2,600 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
