Shakeout operator — Marion County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Marion County, Indiana. The role involves shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Ideal candidate: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings 6+ years on the tools preferred.
