Laundry presser wanted in City of Fairfax

Vacancy available: we are hiring a laundry presser in City of Fairfax, Virginia. The role involves: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep Rotating shifts.
