Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Clinton County, Michigan. The job is in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection Overtime paid at a premium rate.
