Now hiring: we are hiring a foundry operative in Musselshell County, Montana. Day to day you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Requirements: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Part-time with flexible hours.
