Semi-automatic welder — Wilkes County

Join our team: we are hiring a semi-automatic welder in Wilkes County, North Carolina. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. You should have: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety On the job you will handle: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Read fabrication drawings and weld symbols • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. We offer $2,600 per month plus benefits. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
