Great opportunity: we are hiring a blocklayer in Olorunsogo, Oyo State. You will work on a busy housing site. On the job you will handle: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses Ideal candidate: • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Overtime paid at a premium rate.
