MIG/MAG welder wanted in Torrance County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Torrance County, New Mexico. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding You will tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls. Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
