Vacancy available: we are hiring a hoist operator in Lake of the Woods County, Minnesota. The job is at a container port and shipping yard. You will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control; help set out the lift plan and barrier off the exclusion zone. You should have: • Understanding of hand and radio signals • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • A good head for heights for tower crane work Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
