Sand plant operator — Monongalia County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Monongalia County, West Virginia. The job is in the fettling and dressing shop. On the job you will handle: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
