Now hiring: we are hiring a health and safety supervisor in Trego County, Kansas. The job is in a chemical processing unit. You should have: • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Day to day you will update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges.
