Argon arc welder • Cumberland County, Tennessee

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Cumberland County, Tennessee. You will work on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces The role involves: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
