Foundry operative — Gonzales County

Join our team: we are hiring a foundry operative in Gonzales County, Texas. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
