We are recruiting: power press operator (South Carolina)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a power press operator in Pickens County, South Carolina. You will work at a busy press shop. On the job you will handle: • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Adjust press stroke, shut height and tonnage settings • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges Requirements: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Basic understanding of metal grades and thicknesses • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
