We are recruiting: we are hiring a retail butcher in City of Norfolk, Virginia. The job is at a busy retail butcher's shop. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling The role involves monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife. We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Apply today to start as soon as possible.
