Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Butler County, Missouri. You will be based at a stainless steel fabrication shop. The role involves control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
