Brick and block layer wanted in Wayne County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Wayne County, Pennsylvania. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
