Great opportunity: stainless steel welder (Maryland)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Prince George's County, Maryland. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. What we are looking for: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Your main tasks: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding 5+ years on the tools preferred. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
