Laundry presser — Lincoln Parish

Now hiring: we are hiring a laundry presser in Lincoln Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a busy laundry. Day to day you will hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron; shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; meet the daily piece target without damaging garments; set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics. You should have: • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment Pay around $4,900 per month, based on your experience.
