Vacancy available: we are hiring a fire and safety officer in City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska. You will be based in a chemical processing unit. The role involves carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action. You should have: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. $10,500 per project, negotiable for the right hands.
