Offshore rigger • Jackson County, Indiana

Great opportunity: we are hiring an offshore rigger in Jackson County, Indiana. Day to day you will set up spreader bars and lifting beams for long or awkward loads; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; take part in toolbox talks and pre-lift briefings; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces Six days a week, one day off.
