Urgent requirement: we are hiring a machinist in Alkaleri, Bauchi State. You will work in a textile and apparel unit. You should have: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams The role involves stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
