On a typical shift you will mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour; check alignment with measuring gauges after a structural pull; shrink stretched and oil-canned metal with a shrinking hammer; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; pull out deep dents with a slide hammer or stud welder; knock out dents and creases using a panel hammer and dolly. You should have: • 2+ years' experience as a panel beater or in a body shop • Physically fit for lifting panels, bending and kneeling • Trade certificate in auto body repair an advantage Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
