Immediate opening: we are hiring a halal butcher in City of Hopewell, Virginia. Day to day you will sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights. Ideal candidate: • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,000 per project plus benefits. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
